Man pulled out of Norway lake, taken to hospital

A man who went under water Friday at Norway's public swim area was rescued by people nearby, who performed CPR on a floating dock until rescue crews arrived.

NORWAY (WGME) -- A man who went under water in the Norway public swim area Friday was pulled on to a floating dock by people nearby, who performed CPR until rescue crews could reach him.

The 44-year-old man, who has not been identified, went under in Pennesseewassee Lake Friday.

Rescue personnel swam to the floating dock and took over CPR as the man who placed on a boat and taken ashore.

The man was transported to a local hospital before going to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

No information on the man's condition has be en released.
