A Norway-style Brexit would be a terrible result that would sell our country short
The Remain and Leave camps agreed on little during the 2016 referendum, but they did agree on two fundamental points. First, that everyone should accept the result, and second, that leaving the European Union meant leaving the Single Market. The Remain camp, in particular, were unrelenting in their portrayal of the UK outside of the Single Market and rubbished the twilight position of Norway in the EEA/Single Market as âfax democracyâ â" all the rules with no votes.
